October 2026 - Cost of Goods Sold & Mass Supplier Edits

This release introduces full support for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), brings a smoother, safer product import experience, and adds supplier import and export.

Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)

You can now track your product costs directly in the app:

  • View and edit COGS for any product in the Products and Stock Detail views.
  • Set COGS in bulk with the new "Set COGS" action β€” update many products at once.
  • Import COGS via the product mass-upload file, and export it with your products.
  • Two-way store sync: COGS is pulled in from your store, and your changes are pushed back to the store β€” so your numbers stay consistent everywhere.

Cost price remains fully managed by you and your suppliers; it is no longer overwritten by incoming syncs.

Note: writing COGS back to the store requires connector version 2.9.0 or newer.

Smarter Product Imports & Exports

File validation up front: the app checks your import file (separator, column count, header row) in the browser and on the server before processing. If the file doesn't match the template, you'll get a clear error message instead of a broken import.

  • Clearer import flow: the redesigned import dialog walks you through the instructions, template download, file selection, and column picker step by step. The confirmation now shows exactly which columns you selected.
  • Better instructions: clarified that files use the pipe (|) separator and explained how enabled fields work.

EAN/GTIN support

The EAN code column now appears right after SKU in the export/import template (renamed to EANCode), included in exports, and imported as reference data.

EAN codes are also synced from your store into the product catalog. If an incoming EAN code is longer than 64 characters, it is truncated and noted in the import summary.

More robust number parsing: negative decimals (e.g. -3,5) and Excel scientific notation (e.g. 1E-05) now import correctly, regardless of server locale.

Supplier Import & Export

Mass upload suppliers from a CSV or XLSX file directly on the Suppliers page.

Export your suppliers to CSV or XLSX whenever you need a backup or offline copy.

Clearer Sync Status

When an import or sync task fails, the Store Info panel now shows a friendly, plain-language error message (with a safe fallback if none is available) β€” no more guessing what went wrong.

After starting an import, the app reminds you that you can follow its progress in the Store Info panel.

Full technical details of failures are still sent automatically to tech support, so nothing gets lost.

Upgrade Notes

To push COGS changes back to your store, update your connector to version 2.9.0 or later.

EAN codes are reference-only on import: they are read from the file but never written back to your store.
