Product Status
Shelf Planner uses Product Status to refine the forecast. In this article, we will describe the different product statuses we use and how they can help you in your stock management.
Draft Products
When you create a product in WooCommerce and save it as a Draft item, or when you set a Draft product to 'Pending Review', we will automatically classify these products in Shelf Planner as Draft.
A Draft product will allow you to still place purchase orders and manage your stock, before launching it on your site.
New Introduction
New Introduction items are items that have been launched in your store during the past 12 weeks.
New Product introductions typically have a different sales pattern compared to active items and we use this attribute in our forecasting logic to improve the forecast and order proposals.
Active
Active items are all the items you have on offer in your store, and that have on sales for more than 12 weeks.
Phasing Out
Phasing Out is an attribute that is currently under development. With this attribute, you will be able to set a product to phasing out, which will allow you to stop the replenishment proposals, review stock health and take actions such as mark downs.
